Dog & cat

hi all,
i'm new here. i'm planning to adopt a puppy. but at the same time, im having a cat. can u guys suggest which type of puppy/dog can 'live' with cat? i know this is a silly question, but i do hope to get an answer here.

Actually any dog can get along with cat just that you need to train the dog and cat to behave well from young.
Of course if you choose a hunting dog breed like beagle you will need to more time and patience to train it due to natural instinct to hunt.
Get some friendly dog like golden retriever or Labrador.

My dog is ok with my birds. Now i training my birds and dog to play with each other. I want to let the bird stand on my dog..

wah, so good your bird is doing well with your bird.wanting to get a dog but afraid the dog will kill my bird..haha

wow...can see most of u guys here are bird lovers. cool....i know nothing about birds. i know owl, watched Harry Potter and my housemate always call my cat "owl" in mandarin. LOL!!!

Huh? Why call you cat owl? does your cat look like owl?

because he likes birds. maybe he just treated my cat as a bird...since owl is called 'mao tou ying' in mandarin. LOL!!! but today he just bought a crab as his pet...hmm....1st time i see ppl keep crab as pet. and he told me it is unique.

crab still ok, i hear people keep ant say pet!

I have a dog. He's a mixed breed of Silky Terrier & Toy Poodle.

#belkin81: thx! my dog is very sensitive to noise. He can bark when there's another dog barking from far far away. i think he was trying to communicate with that dog. lol. and, he can be sleeping and wakes up suddenly and bark. we didn't really hear anything and my mom said he dreamt of something that's why he bark. lol.

#mondayblueblue: oh, where is your doggie now? about the fur part, i did try once to trim his fur. LOL. simply take the scissors and cut cut cut. hehee... well, we did send him for grooming later. haha!
